The Abdullah Gül University (AGU) Research Commission carries out its activities with the aim of ensuring the coordination of research activities conducted at the university, establishing research infrastructure, and clarifying and enhancing the sustainability of the research ecosystem.
In order to increase the university’s R&D capacity, the Commission undertakes a facilitative mission to effectively establish and operate incentive and support mechanisms required by university personnel and external stakeholders, and to encourage new research initiatives.
The Research Commission was established with representatives from different faculties to make these objectives attainable. Its main functions are defined as organizing events to promote the development of a research culture at AGU, supporting the enhancement of research infrastructure, and facilitating the formation of research networks both within the institution and externally.
As of 2021, the Commission is chaired by Prof. Evren Mutlugün and consists of the following members:
